Using the Attention Autism™ programme to deliver RSE & the Secondary Curriculum
This follow up workshop assumes participants have attended the Online Attention Autism™ Training or the Face to Face Day 1 and Day 2 Attention Autism™ training and are familiar with the 4 stage programme of intervention.
This workshop is designed for professionals (e.g. teachers, teaching assistants, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists) working with secondary aged pupils with Special Educational Needs.
This training includes the Attention Autism™ methodology and practice that underpins the programme, demonstrates the practical techniques and covers a range of other strategies for other areas such as problem solving and personalising interventions.
The Attention Autism™ Programme can be a vehicle for your curriculum delivery. After all the students enjoy it so why not use it to bring all the engagement it inspires to learning objectives?
If you want to learn how to deliver RSE (Relationship & Sex Education) and your secondary curriculum in a fun and fascinating way then this day is for you. The workshop challenges you to develop your expertise in using the 4 stages of the Attention Autism™ programme to deliver curriculum topics including English, Maths and RSE. We will be demonstrating a range of practical activities to help you get started with difficult topics such as body changes during puberty.
The curriculum objectives and smart targets are step one in the planning process. Step two is thinking about what you can do to make it possible for the child to achieve them. This day will provide participants with the opportunity to plan and create your own activities in small groups.
The training will give you ideas for how to work on whole class or individual targets within your sessions and ideas for making your curriculum topics more engaging for students. We hope that the training will inspire you to deliver the curriculum objectives in a way that encourages the students to engage in dynamic and meaningful learning.

The course is available at £210.00 plus VAT and is limited to 25 places.

The workshop is very practical and we will be getting down on the floor and trying out activities so please come in comfortable, casual clothes.
We understand that plans change! If you need to cancel, please let us know at least thirty days before the training starts to receive a refund (minus a £10 administration fee).
